Le coeur est construit sur la base de triangles équilatéraux. On choisit une dimension de 200 pixels pour les cotés ce qui donne une hauteur h : h = 200.sin60° = 173.205... On utilisera une grille de 100 pixels de large par 173 pixels de haut.

The heart is build using equilateral triangles. We choose the length of 200 pixels for the base, the height will be : h = 200.sin60° = 173.205... We will use a grid, width of 100 pixels, Height of 173 pixels.

Dessinez deux disques de 100 pixels de rayon, l'un à côté de l'autre. Utilisez la fonction [Ellipse pleine]. Au moment de tracer l'ellipse, appuyez sur la touche Majuscule (Shift) pour forcer le dessin d'un disque.

Draw two discs, 100 pixels radius, side by side, as shown on the figure above. Use the Shift key to force the [EllipseFill] function to draw a disc.

Activez la [Selection rectangulaire]. Sélectionnez une zone incluant la moitié inférieure des deux disques, comme indiqué sur la figure suivante.

Use the [Rectangle select] function and select an area including the lower half of the 2 discs, as shown below.

Tracez un disque de rayon 200 pixels, dont le centre se trouve au point de contact des deux cercles. Utilisez à nouveau la touche Majuscule (Shift) pour forcer l'outil [Ellipse] à dessiner un disque.

Draw a disc with a radius of 200 pixel. The center is the contact point of the 2 discs. Again, use the Shift key.

Seule la partie du disque étant à l'intérieure de la selection sera dessinée.

Selectionnez maintenant la zone se trouvant sous la portion de disque tracée lors de l'étape précédente. Utilisez à nouveau la fonction [selection rectangulaire] en mode [Remplacer].

Now, use the [Rectangle select] function in [Replace] mode and select the lower part of the project as shown in the next figure.

Creez un applat de couleur au centre de la zone selectionnée. Cet applat sera en partie effacé par la suite, pour former la pointe du coeur. Dans l'exemple ci dessous, on utilise une ellipse.

Draw an ellipse : Horizontal radius : 100 ; Vertical radius : 173 Center : the middle of the top edge of the rectangle selection. But if you want, you can also fill the selection area.

Nous allons poursuivre la construction en effaçant les parties indésirables pour former la pointe.

We will continue by removing some parts of the shape.

Avec la fonction [Ellipse pleine], passez en mode [Effacer]. Tracez un disque dont le centre est le coin inférieur gauche de la selection et de rayon 200 pixels. Utilisez à nouveau la touche majuscule (Shift).

Select the [EllipseFill] function, select the [Erase] mode. With the shift key, Trace a disc : Radius : 200 ; Center : bottom-left corner of the selected area.

Une partie de l'ellipse est rognée.

A part of the ellipse is erased.

Appliquez la même procédure sur le coté droit.

Apply the same operation on the right side.

La pointe du coeur est formée, le coeur est terminé. Annulez la zone de sélection et cachez la grille pour voir la forme dans son ensemble.

The heart shape is now complete. Clear the selection and hide the grid.
